Membership
Membership is not required to attend practice, classes, or other events with us and there is never any charge; however, when attending we do ask a goodwill donation (or dana) to help support the Center.
How do I become a member?

To become a member, simply email our Membership Coordinator, DeDe Khema, with your contact information at dede.khema@pragmaticbuddhism.org , then choose a donation method:

* Cash or check to the Center dana bow, or by mail.
* PayPal or Venmo. (Click the Donate link above)

Why should I become a member?
​
* Free admittance to talks, events, and retreats.
* All donations by members are Tax Deductible.
* The Center helps support local charities via memberships.
* Keeping the lights on-the Center depends on memberships for utilities, outreach, and supplies.

What type of memberships are there?
​
There are two levels of supporting membership and two of affiliate membership:

Sustaining Member
​
* Monthly pledge of at least $45:
* Eligible to serve on the Board of Directors.
* Eligible to vote on matters affecting the Center.
* Will receive a free annual membership to either the Interfaith Association of Central Ohio or the North American Buddhist Alliance.

Supporting Member
* Monthly pledge of at least $25.
* Eligible to serve on the Board of Directors.
* Eligible to vote on matters affecting the Center.

Refuge Members
​
* No specific monthly donation, but contribute as able.
* Have taken formal Refuge in some Buddhist tradition.
* May vote on matters affecting the Center, but may not serve on the Board.

Affiliate Members
​
* Have not taken formal refuge.
* May vote on matters affecting the Center, but may not serve on the Board.
* No specific monthly donation, but contribute as able.
